About Us

Keyboard Corner was established in the late 1970's. The store had fairly modest beginnings, with a small corner shop, selling mainly organs and pianos. Over the decades our product range expanded greatly.

In the mid 90's we opened KC's Rock Shop, (Keyboard Corner's Rock Shop) to give us the ability to specialize in items other than keyboard based instruments. The two shops are now merged into one building with over 250 square metres of showroom.

We carry a huge range of everything musical and have specialised departments for pianos, keyboards, digital pianos, sheet music, electric guitars, amplifiers, acoustic guitars, bass guitars, classical guitars, PA gear, home recording, microphones, drums and accordions.

We have become one of the largest musical instrument suppliers in Melbournes suburbs, and have established a reputation of offering the best advice and service, while still offering great value pricing.

Craig has worked at Keyboard Corner since 1995. Prior to that he had been a student of the music school once run at the shop. His passion to work in the music retail industry started very early, this was shown when he completed high school work experience at Keyboard Corner in 1991.

Dave has a love of all things musical. Having played professionally in bands since he was a teenager, he knows what gear is needed to suit a player. He has an intimate knowledge of home recording and is a great all round muso.

Mark Fisher

Pianos/Digital Pianos/Keyboards/Synths

Mark is the newest addition to the keyboard staff, playing many instruments he brings a unique outlook to the shop. He has indepth knowledge of Yamaha synths and is just as comfortable showing a beginners instrument as he is demonstrating the advanced functions of a hi end synth.

	Keyboard Corner David Williams Pianos/Digital Pianos/Keyboards/Synths David joined the team in 2007, prior to this he had been a professional music teacher. He brings a wealth of experience in Keyboard instruments and offers excellent advice to new students looking to get started. He knows a good piano when he plays one, and will happily help with selecting the best instrument to suit a players needs.

	KC's Rock Shop David Cao (K-O) Guitars/Amps/Effects/Shredding K-O has an encyclopedic knowledge of electric guitars, amps and accessories. He has experience in tuition, performance, instrument wholesale and has even worked internationally in music retail (Japan).K-O is also multi-lingual and speaks Cantonese, Mandarin and Japanese.
	KC's Rock Shop Heinz Dabernig Having established KC's Rockshop in 1993, Heinz has been the face of KC's for many years. Since 2008 he works part time at the shop, after Craig & David purchased the business from him. You would be hard pressed to find a person in Melbourne with a better knowledge of piano accordions than Heinz. You are likely to have seen him playing around town and he is one of the house musicians at the Hofbrauhaus.
	KC's Rock Shop Shaun Kirkup Shaun will be familiar to many of our customers who will have seen him gigging. Shaun started working at the shop in 2008, after having been a customer here for many years. Being a gigging muso he has an excellent perspective on finding the right gear to suit an application.
