Description
Zoom H2n Digital Recorder
Capture True Stereo Audio in the Palm of Your Hand!
In the digital age, whether you're an independent filmmaker, a struggling funk rock trip-hop group, or a singer/songwriter, you need to make high-quality audio recordings of your performances. Zoom has designed the H2n handheld recorder with blissfully intuitive controls to give you maximum control over how and where you want to work. Record in four different configurations -- mid-side stereo, 90-degree X/Y stereo, and 2-channel or 4-channel surround sound. It's simple to use -- and even easier to carry.
Middle-Side Recording: Variable Stereo Field
The H2n is one of the first hand-held devices to let you record in a middle-side stereo pattern. In this setting, a unidirectional mic records audio directly from in front of the microphone while a bi-directional mic records audio from the left and the right, resulting in an incredibly defined stereo effect. By changing the level of the side mic, the width of the stereo field can increased or decreased in post-production.
True X/Y Stereo, Plus 4-Channel Mode
With the right and left microphones fixed on the same axis so that your source audio travels the same distance to each mic, the H2n can also record in 90-degree X/Y stereo. The resulting audio is captured with impeccably defined depth and rich, broad tonal clarity. For true surround immersion, the H2n can be set for either 2-channel or 4-channel recording. In 2-channel mode, the H2n records in Mid-Side stereo and 90-degree X/Y stereo simultaneously for a stunningly textured ambient sound. In 4-channel mode, the H2n records two separate stereo audio files, allowing for greater flexibility in the post-production editing process.
Auto-Save on Convenient SD Card Media
The H2n secures your memory, so that you know your recording will be saved. The H2n features a memory recall function that automatically restores your data upon rebooting should you experience a sudden error or power loss. Storing and organizing your saved data is easy on SD/SDHC cards up to a maximum of 32 GB, for 50 hours of recording time in 44.1 kHz/16-bit WAV format. You can quickly transfer and edit your recorded files using the convenient USB 2.0 interface and included Steinberg's WaveLab LE 7 software or your favorite DAW program.
