Casio SA-51 32-Key Mini Keyboard

The Casio SA-51 is a compact 32-key mini keyboard designed specifically for children taking their first steps in music. Its smaller keys are well-suited to young hands, making it easier for beginners to find their footing without the intimidation of a full-size instrument. Lightweight at just 1.0 kg and powered by batteries, it is also practical for use at home or on the go.

The SA-51 offers 100 tones and 10 built-in songs with a Melody Off function, allowing children to practise playing along with the backing track. Three dedicated tone buttons — Piano, Trumpet, and Drums — provide quick access to popular sounds, while switchable reverb adds a touch of ambience to performances. Additional features include octave shift (±1 octave), transpose (±12 semitones), tuning control (A4 = 415.5 Hz to 465.9 Hz), and a metronome with adjustable beat and tempo (20–255 BPM). The keyboard delivers 32-note maximum polyphony through two 8 cm speakers powered by a 0.5W + 0.5W amplifier.

The SA-51 runs on six AA-size alkaline batteries (approximately 12 hours continuous use) or six AA-size rechargeable NiMH batteries (approximately 10 hours), with an optional AD95 AC adaptor available separately. A stereo mini jack output allows for connection to headphones or an external audio device. Auto Power Off helps conserve battery life when the keyboard is not in use. Compatible accessories include the KBDBAGSA carry bag and CP-16 headphones.
