MODX M incorporates the new AN-X virtual analogue synthesizer engine from Montage M alongside our powerful AWM2 and FM-X engines. This makes MODX M a creative powerhouse, capable of unique sounds that push the boundaries of synthesis and iconic, classic sounds that are a must have.
AN-X ENGINE
Integrated into the Motion Control system, the AN-X Engine allows you to create expressive, unique analog sounds.

- VCM ROTARY SPEAKER: The VCM Rotary Speaker effect simulates the rich and enveloping motion of a classic rotary speaker cabinet.

Now with 8 faders, alongside essential controls like part and scene buttons and our unique Motion Control Synthesis Engine, MODX M lets you get hands on with your sound. MODX M is also MIDI 2.0 capable, meaning that the knobs, Super Knob, pitch bend, mod wheel, are now high resolution, making it smoother than its predecessors.
DEDICATED PART AND SCENE CONTROL
You’ll find dedicated Part and Scene Selection buttons to control 8 Parts per Performance. Particularly beneficial for live performances, this intuitive control improves overall usability and adds dimension to each Performance.
HIGH RESOLUTION CONTROL
The MODX M Knobs, Super Knob, Pitch Bend, Mod Wheel, and Sound Engine – are now High Resolution. Because of the fine resolution, you’ll find the MODX M performs smoother than its predecessors.
MOTION CONTROL SYNTHESIS ENGINE

EXPANDED SOFTSYNTH PLUGIN (ESP)*
Free for all registered MODX M owners, the Expanded Softsynth Plugin (ESP) replicates MODX M in your favourite Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). ESP lets you to create, edit and mix performances anywhere you happen to be – without the hardware – offering an unprecedented level of stage and studio integration.
*ESP for MODX M will be available from JAN 2026.

Upgraded navigation enables quick, intuitive sound editing and operation. You’ll find features like a color touch screen, 6 display knobs, and Stereo A/D input with 2 insertion effects.
