Description
Akai MPC Sample
The Akai MPC Sample is a portable sampler that brings the iconic MPC workflow to musicians and producers who need a compact, travel-ready production solution. Designed for those who want to create and perform on the go, it combines a brushed aluminium body with low-profile controls in a slim form factor that sits under one inch thin — slim enough to slip into a standard laptop bag alongside a computer.
The MPC Sample pairs 16 backlit, velocity and pressure-sensitive MPC pads with the full MPC Software suite, delivering up to 128-track sequencing capability and access to eight pad banks — more than any previous MPC. A large LCD screen lets users work without needing to look at a computer screen, while four touch-sensitive knobs provide hands-on control of the software. The unit is USB-powered, requiring no external power supply, and communicates with Mac and PC systems. Included TRS-to-MIDI breakout cables provide a 5-pin DIN MIDI input and output for connecting external gear.
The bundled MPC Software includes a 9 GB+ sound library covering the sounds of the classic MPC3000, plus two MPC Expansions. It supports WAV, MP3, AIFF, REX, and SND audio formats, and is compatible with samples and sequences from any MPC ever made. The software can operate as a standalone DAW or integrate into an existing setup as a VST, RTAS, or AU plugin. Over 50 effects are included, with insert and send slots available at the pad, track, and master levels.
