The Jackson X Series Soloist SLX DX is a double cutaway electric guitar designed for players who demand speed, comfort and aggressive tone at an accessible price point. Built around a through-body maple neck construction — a Jackson hallmark since 1980 — this guitar suits hard rock and metal players seeking a reliable, feature-rich instrument with professional-grade appointments. The Gloss Black finish gives it a sleek, stage-ready appearance.

The SLX DX features a poplar body with a gloss finish, and a through-body maple neck with graphite reinforcement rods and a tilt-back scarf joint headstock for added stability and sustain. The fully bound laurel fingerboard offers a 12"-16" compound radius across 24 jumbo frets, with pearloid sharkfin inlays providing easy visual reference. Electronics consist of Duncan Designed HB-103B (bridge) and HB-103N (neck) humbucking pickups — patterned after the Seymour Duncan Distortion set — controlled via a three-position blade switch with individual volume and tone controls. A Floyd Rose Special double-locking tremolo system (recessed) handles string stability and dynamic tremolo action, complemented by Jackson sealed die-cast tuners and black hardware throughout.

Strung with nickel plated steel strings (.009-.042 gauges) and set to a 25.5" scale length, the SLX DX is suited to players who favour low-action bends and demanding lead work. The compound radius fingerboard eases chording in lower positions and flattens toward the neck joint to reduce fretting out during high-position bends. A dual-action truss rod with head adjustment and Floyd Rose Special locking nut round out the practical setup features. Optional hardshell case and gig bag are available separately.

THROUGH-BODY MAPLE NECK CONSTRUCTION WITH GRAPHITE REINFORCEMENT
Neck-through-body construction has been a Jackson hallmark since 1980, allowing for greater playability comfort and enhanced sustain. Neck-through is a method of guitar construction which involves extending the piece of wood used for the neck through the entire length of the body. Graphite-reinforcement rods flanking the truss rod provide even more neck stability to help the instrument withstand the rigors of the road.

DUNCAN DESIGNED™ HB-103B/HB-103N HUMBUCKING PICKUPS
Patterned after the Seymour Duncan Distortion set and built for aggressive playing styles, these affordable and high-quality pickups feature ceramic magnets and hot-coil windings to deliver a high-output tone with lots of crunch and harmonics while maintaining clarity.
