Cort Core-MC Ovangkol - Black Top Semi Gloss

The Cort Core-MC Ovangkol is an all-solid wood acoustic-electric guitar built around a Modern Concert body shape with a Venetian cutaway. It suits players who want a compact, comfortable instrument with genuine tonal quality — from fingerstyle players to singer-songwriters looking for a stage-ready acoustic. The Black Top Semi Gloss finish gives it a striking visual identity, while the use of solid tonewoods throughout ensures the sound is not compromised by cosmetic choices.

This guitar features a solid cedar top paired with solid ovangkol back and sides, a combination that delivers warm, responsive tone with clear midrange presence. The neck is mahogany with a C-shape profile, and the rosewood fingerboard offers a smooth playing surface over 20 frets at a 25.5-inch scale length. Genuine bone nut and saddle contribute to sustain and note clarity, while Fishman Presys VT electronics provide reliable amplified performance with side-mounted volume and tone controls. Vintage open-gear tuners and Elixir Phosphor Bronze Nanoweb Light strings (12-53) complete the package. The guitar comes strung and ready to play, with a dovetail neck joint and hand-scalloped X-bracing for structural integrity and tonal response.

The semi-gloss UV-cured finish on the top is intentionally thin to allow the cedar to vibrate freely, which is particularly beneficial for lighter playing dynamics.
