Cort Space 5 Headless 5-String Bass Guitar - Star Dust Black

The Cort Artisan Series Space 5 is a headless 5-string electric bass guitar designed for players seeking superior balance, playability, and tone. The headless design eliminates the weight of a traditional headstock, resulting in a bass that sits perfectly balanced whether seated or standing, reducing arm fatigue during extended performances. It suits intermediate to advanced bass players who want professional-grade components and the practical advantages of a compact, headless instrument.

The Artisan Space 5 features a soft maple body with poplar burl top, paired with a 7-piece roasted maple, walnut, and purpleheart laminated "C" shaped neck. The roasted maple fingerboard offers 24 frets plus a zero fret for improved tuning stability and long-term playability across different string gauges. Bartolini MK-1 pickups are fitted as standard, driven by an active 3-band EQ, providing a rich tonal foundation with robust mids and defined highs. The controls consist of a push-pull volume, a blend control, and bass, mid, and treble EQ knobs. A spoke-nut two-way truss rod allows easy neck adjustments. The specially designed headless hardware — including headpiece and individual bridges — has been developed to maintain tuning stability while keeping the instrument light and compact.

With a 34-inch scale length, 18mm string spacing, and a neck thickness of 20.5mm at the first fret and 22mm at the twelfth, the Artisan Space 5 offers a comfortable and fast playing feel suited to a wide range of styles. The matte open-pore body finish and matte neck finish give the instrument a tactile, natural feel. Black hardware throughout complements the Star Dust Black finish. A gig bag is included, making this a gig-ready package.
