EarthQuaker Devices Easy Listening Analog Amp Simulator

The EarthQuaker Devices Easy Listening is an all-analog amp simulator pedal designed for guitarists who want a realistic, responsive amp feel without the bulk of a traditional valve amplifier. Voiced internally to capture the character of a classic American guitar amp — specifically a '65 Deluxe — it delivers rich harmonic complexity, low-end resonance, slightly scooped mids, and a crystalline top-end chime. It suits players looking for a compact, direct recording or headphone practice solution with zero digital latency and no menu diving required.

The Easy Listening combines a finely tuned preamp circuit with sweet analog cabinet simulation, offering the high headroom and low noise associated with a tube amplifier in a pocket-sized enclosure. Its single Level control manages output — with plenty of volume on tap. The stereo TRS output makes it directly compatible with headphones (requiring a ¼" TRS plug) or a DAW interface, where either a mono TS or stereo TRS connection can be used. Input impedance is rated at 1 MΩ and output impedance at 39 Ω, ensuring broad compatibility with most guitars and interfaces.

Powered by a standard 9V DC centre-negative supply drawing 75 mA, the Easy Listening is well suited for pedalboard integration or standalone use. EarthQuaker Devices recommend using a pedal-specific, transformer-isolated power supply to avoid noise from ripple or unclean power sources. Daisy chains and switching-type supplies are not recommended. The unit is hand-built in Akron, Ohio, and is covered by EarthQuaker Devices' limited lifetime warranty.

Power
This device takes a standard 9 volt DC power supply with a 2.1mm negative center barrel. We always recommend pedal-specific, transformer-isolated wall-wart power supplies or multiple isolated-output supplies. Pedals will make extra noise if there is ripple or unclean power. Switching-type power supplies, daisy chains and non-pedal specific power supplies do not filter dirty power as well and let through unwanted noise. DO NOT RUN AT HIGHER VOLTAGES!
