Fender American Professional Hot Shot Telecaster, Maple Fingerboard, Aged Cherry Burst

The Fender American Professional HotShot Telecaster is a US-made electric guitar that takes the classic Telecaster platform and expands its tonal range with a three-pickup configuration. Built at Fender's Corona, California facility, it suits working guitarists and serious players who want authentic Telecaster character alongside the added versatility of Stratocaster-style middle-position tones. The Aged Cherry Burst finish over an ash body gives this instrument a warm, visually striking appearance.

The Hot Shot departs from a standard two-pickup Tele layout by adding a V-Mod III Stratocaster single-coil in the middle position, paired with a 5-way blade switch and a push-push tone control that adds the neck pickup for additional combinations. The two V-Mod III Telecaster single-coils deliver the twang, snap and bite the Telecaster is known for, while the centre Strat pickup introduces glassier, in-between voices. The Deep "C"-shaped maple neck features rolled fingerboard edges, a "Super-Natural" satin urethane finish on the back, and a newly sculpted neck heel for comfortable upper-register access. A 9.5" (241 mm) fingerboard radius, 22 narrow tall frets, and a bone nut round out the playing surface. The 3-saddle top-load/string-through Telecaster bridge with ClassicGear compensated brass Bullet saddles allows flexible stringing options and improved intonation, while ClassicGear Precision Potentiometers provide smooth, consistent control. A 4-ply Aged White Pearloid pickguard and nickel/chrome hardware complete the aesthetic.

Players will find the Hot Shot well suited to stage and studio use where tonal flexibility is valued without sacrificing the essential feel of a traditional Telecaster. The Micro-Tilt adjustment on the 4-bolt asymmetrical neck plate allows precise neck angle setup, and Fender Standard Cast/Sealed Staggered tuning machines maintain reliable tuning stability. The guitar ships with a Fender Deluxe Molded Case and is strung with Fender USA 250L Nickel Plated Steel (.009–.042) strings.

V-MOD III PICKUPS
V-Mod III Telecaster pickups are voiced specifically for each position, creating a perfectly balanced tone with the vintage warmth and crisp, clear sound that made Fender a legend. A V-Mod III Stratocaster single-coil in the middle position delivers authentic Strat tones, giving this hot-shot Telecaster setup unmatched versatility.

NEW SCULPTED NECK HEEL
The rounded neck heel and beveled neck-plate improve access to the upper register and make leads easy and comfortable.

TOP-LOAD/STRING-THROUGH CLASSICGEAR™ COMPENSATED BRASS BULLET™ SADDLE TELE BRIDGE
The new Telecaster bridge sports ClassicGear™ Compensated Brass Bullet™ Saddles - our most comfortable, flexible Tele saddles yet. Retaining classic brass-saddle tone, they provide excellent intonation and flexible setup options, allowing you to tailor the tension and tone of each string to your liking. Strings can be top-loaded for reduced tension, resulting in a mellower twang and springy attack.

“DEEP C” NECK PROFILE WITH ROLLED FINGERBOARD EDGES
Delivering both comfort and speed, the American Professional “Deep C” neck profile is slim at the nut and fills out gradually as it approaches the neck joint to create a natural feel that’s perfect for chording and single note playing alike. The hand-rolled fingerboard edges and Super-Natural satin finish provide a supremely comfortable feel.

SPECIAL ELECTRONICS
A performance-friendly push-push switch on the tone control adds the neck pickup into positions 1 and 2, unlocking tonal combinations not normally found on a Tele.

CLASSICGEAR™ PRECISION™ POTENTIOMETERS
ClassicGear™ Precision™ Potentiometers deliver smooth, consistent control with custom torque, precise resistance and a musical taper for effortless, reliable performance.
