Fender California Deluxe Monterey E, Ivory Pickguard, Black

The Fender California Deluxe Monterey E is an acoustic-electric guitar suited to beginner and intermediate players who want a reliable, stage-ready instrument they can grow with. Built around an orchestra/auditorium body shape, it offers a comfortable mid-size feel that suits fingerpicking, strumming and vocal accompaniment across a variety of settings — from home practice to live performance.

The guitar features a solid Sitka spruce top paired with laminated mahogany back and sides, reinforced by scalloped X-bracing, producing a tone that is full, balanced and articulate. The slim "C"-profile mahogany neck carries a satin urethane finish and a 12" radius walnut fingerboard with white dot inlays, 20 frets and a 25.5" scale length. Hardware includes a Modern Viking bridge, Micarta nut and saddle, sealed die-cast split-shaft tuning machines, ivory bridge pins with black dots, and a 1-ply ivory pickguard. Strings are phosphor bronze (.011–.052 gauges). Electronics are handled by a Fishman® CD-1 preamp with volume, bass, treble, tuner and phase controls, making the guitar ready for amplified use straight from the box.

The non-cutaway Monterey body shape keeps the acoustic voice natural and focused. The Mustang®-style headstock is a recognisable Fender design detail, while the gloss poly body finish in Black provides a classic, hardwearing presentation.
