The Fender Player II Jazzmaster® in Black with Rosewood Fingerboard is a stage-ready electric guitar that blends classic Jazzmaster aesthetics with contemporary playability enhancements. Suited to intermediate and advancing players who want genuine Fender character in a versatile, gig-worthy instrument, this model sits within the Player II series and delivers the iconic offset body silhouette in a sleek, timeless black finish.

The guitar is built around a solid alder body finished in gloss polyester, paired with a maple neck shaped to a comfortable Modern "C" profile and finished in satin urethane on the back for smooth, fast fretting hand movement. The 9.5"-radius slab rosewood fingerboard features rolled edges, 22 medium jumbo frets, white dot position inlays, and a synthetic bone nut at 1.650" width. Electronics consist of two Player Series Alnico 5 Jazzmaster® single-coil pickups in an SS configuration, controlled via a master volume, master tone, and a 3-position toggle switch. Hardware includes a Jazzmaster® bridge with upgraded Mustang® saddles, a vintage-style floating tremolo with a pop-in tremolo arm, Fender ClassicGear™ tuning machines, a 3-ply parchment pickguard, and nickel/chrome hardware throughout.

With a 25.5" scale length and a neck constructed to a 4-bolt standard, the Player II Jazzmaster offers familiar Fender feel and tuning stability well-suited to live performance. It ships strung with Fender USA 250L Nickel Plated Steel strings (.009–.042 gauges). A compatible hardshell case (Classic Series Jazzmaster®/Jaguar® Wood Hardshell Case, P/N 0996116306) and gig bag (FEJ610, P/N 0991412506) are available separately.

The innovative floating tremolo offers smooth and expressive vibrato, while the plated brass Mustang saddles feature a single-groove barrel style design to keep the strings where they belong even when being pummeled, for precise intonation and rock-solid tuning stability.
