Fender The Pelt Fuzz V2

The Fender Pelt Fuzz V2 is a silicon transistor-based fuzz pedal suited to guitarists and bass players seeking a wide range of fuzz textures, from classic saturation through to aggressive octave tones and glitchy experimental sounds. Built around a buffer-friendly input stage, it integrates cleanly into modern pedalboard setups and offers compatibility with pedals placed earlier in the signal chain.

The Pelt V2 expands on the standard Fuzz, Tone and Level controls found on traditional fuzz pedals by adding Sag and Bloom controls for detailed shaping of how the signal breaks up, plus Mids and Thick mini-switches for quick EQ adjustments to midrange and low-end presence. A dedicated Blend control allows clean signal to be mixed in with the fuzz effect — a useful feature for bass players needing to retain low-end definition, or guitarists blending fuzz with drive tones from earlier in the chain. A second footswitch provides access to an octave-up effect, and with the rear-panel Chaos switch engaged, that footswitch instead activates an asymmetrical octave mode for sputtering, glitchy artefacts.

The pedal is housed in a road-ready anodised aluminium enclosure with top-mounted jacks to keep pedalboard cabling tidy. Bypass mode (true or buffered) is selectable via a rear-panel switch, with relay-based auto-bypass when no power is present. Both footswitches support multiswitch operation for either latching (tap) or momentary (press-and-hold) activation. Power requires a 9VDC centre-negative adapter (not included).
