Description
Fender Vintera III Late '50s Telecaster, Maple Fingerboard, Sherwood Green Metallic
The Fender Vintera III Late '50s Telecaster in Sherwood Green Metallic is a Mexico-built electric guitar designed for players seeking authentic late-1950s Telecaster tone, feel, and aesthetics. Built on a solid alder body with a gloss polyester finish, this instrument pairs period-correct construction with reliable modern build quality, making it well suited to players who value vintage character without the compromises of an actual vintage instrument. It comes supplied with a Deluxe Gig Bag.
The guitar features a 1-piece maple neck with a gloss urethane finish and the distinctive late '50s "V" profile — a rounded V shape that starts chunky at the nut and thickens slightly toward the 12th fret. The 7.25" radius maple fingerboard carries 21 vintage-tall frets with black dot inlays, a bone nut at 1.650" (42 mm) width, and a 25.5" (648 mm) scale length. Two vintage-style late '50s single-coil Telecaster pickups sit in chrome (neck) and black (bridge) covers, connected to a straightforward master volume and master tone control with a 3-position blade switch. Hardware is finished in nickel/chrome throughout, including a 3-saddle vintage-style Tele bridge with barrel steel saddles on a 4-screw vintage-style mounting, Fender vintage-style tuning machines, and butterfly string trees.
The string-through-body bridge design and steel barrel saddles contribute directly to the snap and sustain associated with late-1950s Telecasters. The vintage-tall frets offer slightly more height than true vintage spec, providing improved playability for bends whilst retaining the classic fingerboard feel. With a 4-bolt standard neck joint, 1-ply white pickguard, and knurled flat-top control knobs with a top-hat style black switch tip, the visual presentation is consistent with period-correct appointments. The guitar is manufactured in Mexico (Country of Origin: MX).
