The Gretsch G6136TGQM-59 Limited Edition Quilt Classic Falcon is a hollow body electric guitar that sits within the Professional Collection and is designed for players who appreciate vintage-inspired craftsmanship with distinctive visual appeal. Built around the iconic Falcon platform, this limited edition model features a stunning highly figured quilt maple body finished in Forge Glow, making it well suited to gigging musicians and collectors alike who seek a guitar that is as striking to look at as it is to play.

The guitar features a 2.75" deep single-cutaway hollow body constructed from laminated quilt maple with 1959-style trestle bracing, finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer to allow the tonewoods to resonate more freely. The set maple neck carries a Standard "U" profile and is fitted with a 25.5" scale length ebony fingerboard, 22 medium jumbo frets, and Mother of Pearl Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays. Electronics consist of a pair of TV Jones Ray Butts Ful-Fidelity Filter'Tron pickups — faithful reproductions of Ray Butts' original designs — wired to a control layout of two individual volume controls and a master volume, along with a 3-position toggle and 3-position tone switch. Hardware throughout is finished in gold, including a Space Control bridge with a pinned ebony base, Grover Imperial tuners, and a Bigsby B6GVT vibrato tailpiece. The guitar ships with a Gretsch G6242L 17" Deluxe Hollow Body Hardshell case included.

The TV Jones Ray Butts Ful-Fidelity pickups are built to Ray Butts' personal notes and TV Jones' extensive analysis of original Filter'Tron units, offering a tighter bass response, slightly increased top end, and an open, three-dimensional character attributed to the absence of wax potting. The bone nut contributes to tonal richness and tuning stability, while the nitrocellulose lacquer finish and trestle bracing work together to produce the resonant, sustaining quality associated with vintage Falcon instruments. The Bigsby B6GVT tailpiece adds vibrato capability and increased vibration transfer. This is a right-hand model available in Forge Glow only.

TV JONES® RAY BUTTS FUL-FIDELITY FILTER’TRON™ PICKUPS
A faithful reproduction of the original “Ful-Fidelity” Filter’Tron pickups invented by the legendary Ray Butts, these pickups are made according to Ray's personal notes and designs, and TV Jones' extensive multi-decade analysis of original Filter'Tron pickups. They produce a tighter bass response and slightly more top end than modern Filter’Tron pickups, and the absence of wax potting results in a more open, three-dimensional sound with truly unique sparkle and exceptional dynamics.
