HeadRush FRFR-8 Cab

The HeadRush FRFR-8 CAB is a full-range, flat-response active speaker cabinet designed for guitarists and bassists who use amp modellers, profilers, and digital guitar rigs. With 480W of peak power and a compact, closed-back wooden enclosure, it is suited to a wide range of applications from home practice through to live performance at smaller venues. The FRFR-8 CAB works with virtually any modelling pedal or processor that provides a line-level output, making it a versatile choice for players using systems such as Neural Amp Modeler, third-party IRs, or other capture technology.

The cabinet features a custom-designed 8-inch low-frequency woofer paired with a 1-inch high-frequency compression driver and a 90° conical horn, delivering a frequency response of 60 Hz to 20 kHz with a maximum SPL of 125 dB. A 3-band Baxandall EQ and variable high-cut filter allow tone adjustments to suit different rooms and venues. Connectivity includes a combo XLR/TRS balanced input, a balanced XLR DI output for feeding a PA or chaining a second cabinet for stereo operation, and Bluetooth 5.3 for wireless audio streaming from a phone or tablet. The cabinet is finished in black tolex with a tweed grill cloth and includes a built-in kickstand and top handle for ease of transport.

The FRFR-8 CAB is the more compact model in the FRFR CAB Series, measuring 358 mm × 215 mm × 363 mm and weighing 10.9 kg, making it straightforward to carry between rehearsal and the stage. The closed-back design and classic aesthetic make it equally at home in a studio or practice space as it is on stage. Two units can be connected together to create a stereo rig, taking full advantage of stereo delays, reverbs, and modulation effects from a compatible modeller.
