Ibanez RG421DX Electric Guitar - Twilight Shade

The Ibanez RG421DX in Twilight Shade is a solid-body electric guitar from Ibanez's enduring RG series, designed for players who want fast, comfortable playability and versatile tones across styles ranging from rock to metal. Built around a Meranti body and fitted with Ibanez's renowned Wizard III Maple neck, the RG421DX is a well-specified instrument suited to intermediate to advanced players seeking a reliable and responsive guitar at a practical price point.

The guitar features a Jatoba fretboard with Sharktooth inlays and 24 Jumbo frets across a 648mm (25.5-inch) scale length, providing a wide tonal range and easy upper-fret access. A pair of passive ceramic Quantum humbucker pickups — one at the neck and one at the bridge — are controlled via a 5-way selector switch, volume knob, and tone knob, offering a broad range of pickup combinations. The F106 fixed bridge provides reliable tuning stability and straightforward individual saddle height adjustment, while the mono-unit output jack is built from a single solid piece to minimise the risk of disconnection or contact failure over time. Hardware throughout is finished in black.

The Wizard III neck profile is characterised by a thin, flat cross-section — 19mm at the first fret and 21mm at the 12th fret — with a 400mm radius fretboard that suits players who prefer a fast, low-action feel. The guitar ships with D'Addario EXL110 strings (.010–.046) in standard tuning. The recommended case is the Ibanez M300C and the recommended gig bag is the IGB540-BK, both sold separately.
