The IK Multimedia AXE I/O + AmpliTube 5 MAX + TONEX MAX Bundle combines a professional-grade audio interface purpose-built for guitarists with two of IK Multimedia's most comprehensive software suites. The AXE I/O features three selectable input circuit topologies — PURE (transparent), JFET (Class A harmonic enhancement), and ACTIVE (for active pickups) — each delivering 117 dB dynamic range and a 3 Hz–32 kHz frequency response. The patent-pending Z-TONE circuit allows impedance to be adjusted from 1 MOhm down to 2.2 kOhms, interacting directly with the guitar's pickups for a wide tonal palette. Two rear combo inputs with phantom power accommodate microphones and line instruments, while two PURE mic preamps offer 116 dB dynamic range and a 5 Hz–32 kHz frequency response. The interface also includes MIDI I/O, two configurable expression pedal/switch inputs, a front-panel tuner, an assignable preset knob for AmpliTube integration, and a Control Panel application for advanced routing and assignment. The bundle includes AmpliTube 5 MAX and TONEX MAX for Mac/PC, providing access to an extensive library of amp, cabinet, effects and tone capture tools.

The dedicated Amp Out enables straightforward reamplification and tone modelling setups without additional accessories, with a low-noise design that minimises ground loops during high-gain recording. The AXE I/O operates over USB 2.0 and supports up to 24-bit/192 kHz conversion with asynchronous USB audio and a low-jitter internal clock. The rugged metal housing is compact enough for studio or home use. The included Control Panel software provides routing management, phantom power control, ground lift, controller assignment, and sample rate selection from a single application.
