The fully bound amaranth fingerboard features a 12"-16" compound radius that starts rounder near the nut for comfortable chord playing and gradually flattens toward the upper register for easier lead work and wide bends. With 24 jumbo frets and pearloid sharkfin inlays, the playing surface is both functional and distinctly Jackson in character. A pair of Jackson high-output humbucking pickups with ceramic magnets are wired to a three-way toggle switch with individual volume and tone controls, delivering clear, punchy tones from the neck and crunchy distortion from the bridge. The Jackson TOM-style adjustable string-through-body bridge offers accurate intonation and improved sustain, matching the compound radius of the fingerboard.

Strung with nickel-plated steel strings (.009-.042 gauges) and fitted with Jackson sealed die-cast tuning machines, this guitar is ready to play straight out of the box. The 25.5" scale length and 1.6875" nut width suit standard playing styles, while the dual-action truss rod with adjustment at the nut allows for straightforward neck maintenance. A truss rod wrench is included. The Satin Black finish with black pickguard and zebra pickup covers (black/white) gives this Rhoads a cohesive and purposeful look on stage or in the rehearsal room.
