The Jackson X Series Kelly KEX in Deep Purple Metallic is a boldly styled electric guitar built for heavy music. Its distinctive offset angular Kelly body shape, neck-through-body construction, and Floyd Rose Special tremolo system make it well suited to players who demand aggressive tone, fast action, and reliable tuning stability. This model offers genuine performance credentials at an accessible price point, making it a strong choice for metal and hard rock players at both intermediate and gigging level.

The KEX features a poplar body with a gloss finish and white body binding, paired with a maple neck-through-body construction reinforced with graphite rods flanking the truss rod and a scarf joint for added stability. The 25.5" scale neck has a laurel fingerboard, a 12"–16" compound radius, 24 jumbo frets, pearloid sharkfin inlays, black side dots, and white neck and headstock binding. Electronics consist of two Jackson High-Output Humbucking pickups in a bridge-and-neck configuration, controlled via a three-position toggle switch, single volume, and single tone control. The Floyd Rose Special Double-Locking Tremolo (recessed) with matching locking nut keeps tuning stable under heavy use, and black hardware throughout complements the Deep Purple Metallic finish. Tuning machines are Jackson Sealed Die-Cast, and strings are nickel plated steel (.009–.042 gauges).

The gloss colour-matched neck finish and pointed 6-in-line Jackson headstock with white binding give this guitar a cohesive, stage-ready appearance. The compound radius fingerboard eases chord playing in lower positions and supports lead work higher up the neck. A truss rod wrench is included, and the dual-action head-adjust truss rod provides straightforward neck relief adjustment. An optional Jackson KE/WR Hardshell case or RR/KV/WR/KY Gig Bag is available separately for transport and storage.

MAPLE NECK-THROUGH-BODY WITH GRAPHITE REINFORCEMENT AND SCARF JOINT
True neck-through-body construction has been a Jackson hallmark since 1980, allowing for greater playability and sustain. Neck-through is a method of guitar construction which involves extending the piece of wood(maple) used for the neck through the entire length of the body. Graphite reinforcement rods flanking the truss rod provide even more neck stability to help the instrument withstand the rigors of the road.
