Maton EBG808TEC Tommy Emmanuel Signature - Tobacco Sunburst

The Maton EBG808C-TE-TSB is a signature acoustic-electric guitar developed in collaboration with Tommy Emmanuel, one of Australia's most celebrated guitarists. Finished in Tobacco Sunburst over a Vintage Amber stained back and sides, this model is part of Maton's Signature Series and is built to meet the exacting demands of professional performance — from fingerpicking passages to full-blooded strumming. It is well suited to gigging and recording musicians who require a high-quality Australian-made instrument with serious tonal credentials and stage-ready electronics.

The guitar features an "AAA Select" grade Spruce soundboard paired with Queensland Maple back and sides, a combination that delivers clarity and articulation even under aggressive playing. The 808 cutaway body shape provides easy access to the upper register, while Scalloped Maton X bracing keeps the top responsive across a wide dynamic range. The neck is constructed from Select Queensland Maple and the fingerboard and bridge are Indian Rosewood, with a 12" radius and a 25.5" scale length. A Mother of Pearl "CGP" block inlay at the 12th fret acknowledges Tommy Emmanuel's "Certified Guitar Player" title, bestowed by Chet Atkins. The AP5 PRO onboard pickup system provides natural amplified sound reproduction without compromising the instrument's acoustic voice. Machine heads are Chrome Grover Rotomatics, and the nut and saddle are bone.

The EBG808C-TE-TSB comes supplied with a Standard Maton Hard Case. Elixir Nanoweb Phosphor Bronze 12–53 strings are fitted as standard. Maton sources its timbers with attention to sustainability and responsible forest management. This model is finished in Tobacco Sunburst Satin on the top and Vintage Amber Stain Satin on the back and sides, distinguishing it from the Honey Stain variant (EBG808TEC). The Herringbone rosette, Triple Pinstripe/Ivory binding, Tortoiseshell pickguard and Queensland Walnut headstock veneer complete the aesthetic detail.
