Featuring a patented dual bearing construction, the GRIP Winder is compatible with virtually all tuning peg styles and sizes, including those found on electric guitars, acoustic guitars, 12-string guitars, bass guitars, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, and classical guitar.

The rubber-lined peg head slips smoothly over tuning pegs without scratching or clanking, unlike traditional plastic winders. The narrow profile is particularly useful when restringing 12-string and electric guitars where tuning pegs are closely spaced. The included 10mm hex wrench is designed to tighten tuning machine bushings — a commonly overlooked maintenance step that can affect tone, sustain and tuning stability. The tuning peg opening measures 9mm (0.35"), accommodating both small and large tuner buttons. It will work on standard gear-type tuning machines but is not recommended for friction-style tuners.
