Nord Electro 7 - 73 Key Stage Piano

The Nord Electro 7 73 is a 73-note semi-weighted waterfall keybed stage keyboard aimed at working musicians who need authentic organ, piano, and synthesis capabilities in a single, lightweight instrument. Featuring physical drawbars, a Pitch Stick and Modulation Wheel, and a new high-resolution colour display, it is well suited to live performance and studio use where versatility and fast workflow are essential.

The Electro 7 73 draws its Organ Section directly from the acclaimed Nord Organ 3 engine, covering B3, B3 Bass, Vox, Farfisa, Soft B3, and Pipe organ models, complete with three selectable Rotary Speaker microphone positions. The Piano Section is compatible with the Nord Piano Library and adds Dynamic Compression, Unison, Timbre, and String Resonance. A new Synth Section delivers Analog Waveforms, FM synthesis with classic presets, and Sample Synth via the Nord Sample Library, with a low-pass filter with resonance and dual ADR envelopes. Each section carries its own dedicated Effects chain, including a new Spring Reverb, Brit and Suitcase amplifier models, Modulation effects (Chorus, Phaser, Flanger, Ring Modulation, Tremolo), Delay with Ping-Pong and Analog modes, a dedicated Compressor, and a three-band EQ with sweepable mid.

The 73-note waterfall keybed is tailored for organists who benefit from the unweighted response and natural feel during glissandos and fast runs, while the addition of the Pitch Stick and Modulation Wheel — exclusive to the 73 and HP models — broadens real-time performance control for piano and synth playing. Sounds and samples can be managed via Nord Sound Manager software, and Expression Pedal Assign allows pedal control of the Synth Filter and effect parameters during performance.
