NUX A/B Roll Octave & Loop Pedal

The NUX A/B Roll (NOL-1) is a compact octave and looper pedal designed for guitarists and bassists who want a versatile recording and performance tool in a single unit. It combines polyphonic sub-octave processing, IR cabinet simulation, and looping capabilities, making it well suited to home studio recording, solo practice, and live performance. The unit connects via USB-C for audio streaming and IR management, and its compact footprint makes it practical for pedalboard use.

The A/B Roll features a polyphonic sub-octave engine with a dedicated SUB knob for dialling in low-end depth on the fly. Seven onboard IR presets cover a range of classic guitar and bass cabinet sounds, and additional IRs can be loaded and managed via the NUX IR Manager software (available for Windows and macOS). Recording quality is 24-bit/48kHz with up to six minutes of looping time and unlimited overdubs. An Auto Rec mode begins recording automatically when input signal is detected, with an adjustable trigger threshold. USB audio and OTG support allow the pedal to stream audio directly to a phone or computer. A 1/4" balanced output with IR simulation and a 1/8" headphone output with adjustable volume allow for silent practice or direct recording without a speaker cabinet.

The pedal runs on 9V DC (negative tip) and draws less than 100mA, compatible with standard pedalboard power supplies. The NUX ACD-006A adapter is optional. Dimensions are compact at 94 x 51 x 53mm and the unit weighs 175g. A USB-C connection supports both computer-based IR loading and mobile OTG audio streaming, making the A/B Roll a practical addition to a range of setups from bedroom practice to stage performance.
