The Squier Sonic Mustang HH is a short-scale electric guitar suited to beginners and developing players seeking a comfortable, accessible instrument with genuine humbucker tone. Built on the classic Mustang offset body shape, this model features a lightweight poplar body finished in gloss black with a matching black pickguard, giving it a sleek, understated appearance. The 24" scale length reduces string tension relative to a standard 25.5" instrument, making fretting, bending, and vibrato more manageable, particularly for players with smaller hands or those new to the instrument.

The guitar is fitted with a maple neck in a slim "C" profile with a satin urethane finish, paired with an Indian laurel fingerboard at a 9.5" radius and 22 frets. Two ceramic Squier humbucking pickups — one at the bridge and one at the neck — deliver a high-output signal voiced in-house at Fender, suitable for a range of styles from clean rhythm work through to driven rock tones. A 3-position toggle switch selects between bridge, both, or neck pickup configurations, with master volume and master tone controls rounding out the electronics. Hardware includes a 6-saddle top-load hardtail bridge with block saddles for individual string height and intonation adjustment, die-cast sealed tuning machines, and chrome-plated fittings throughout.

The Squier Sonic Mustang HH ships without a case or gig bag. The bolt-on neck construction and synthetic bone nut are practical considerations for budget maintenance and future setup adjustments. The 4-bolt Squier neck plate, vintage-style strap buttons, and nickel plated steel strings (.009–.042 gauges) complete the package. This model is right-hand only.
