The Yamaha MODX M8 is an 88-key synthesizer designed for working pianists who need professional-grade sound and expressive playability in a compact, lightweight instrument. It features a Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) keyboard with initial touch sensitivity, making it well suited to players who want realistic weighted key feel without the bulk of a traditional stage piano. The MODX M8 shares its core synthesis architecture with Yamaha's flagship MONTAGE M, bringing three powerful engines — AWM2, FM-X, and the new AN-X virtual analogue — into a single, stage-ready package.
