The Yamaha RS20MM is a production signature electric guitar developed in close collaboration with guitarist Matteo Mancuso. Built to recreate the look, feel, and response of his personal custom Revstar, the RS20MM is designed for clarity, control, and articulation across a wide range of playing styles — from jazz to rock. It suits players who value dynamic precision, fluid phrasing, and a guitar that can move between clean and driven tones without compromise.

At the core of the RS20MM are DiMarzio® PAF® 36th Anniversary pickups, redesigned to vintage PAF specifications. Their softer magnetic pull allows strings to vibrate more freely, delivering long sustain and a highly expressive pick response. The body features a Vintage Sunburst flame-maple top over a chambered mahogany body, with Yamaha's Acoustic Design process used to enhance resonance while reducing overall weight. A carbon-reinforced 3-piece mahogany neck adds structural stability and rigidity. The push/pull tone control functions as a passive Focus Switch, emulating overwound pickups with darker highs and enhanced mids and lows. The 5-way switching system introduces a subtle phase shift in positions 2 and 4 by slightly delaying the opposite pickup, offering nuanced in-between tones. All-gold hardware, locking tuners, Matteo Mancuso's signature on the truss-rod cover, and a logo inlay at the 12th fret complete the instrument's distinctive aesthetic.

The RS20MM ships with a deluxe gig bag and is suited to working musicians who require reliable tuning stability and tonal versatility in live and studio settings. The locking tuners support demanding playing situations, while the chambered body construction keeps the instrument comfortable for extended periods. This is a fully specified production model reflecting the practical requirements of a professional player.
