Yamaha TAS1E TransAcoustic Guitar - Ultra Marine Gloss

The Yamaha TAS1E is a concert-style TransAcoustic guitar that builds on Yamaha's first-generation TransAcoustic concept, offering built-in reverb and chorus effects that resonate directly through the guitar body without the need for any external amplification or effects units. It is well suited to home players and those new to the TransAcoustic experience who want a compact, smaller-bodied instrument with integrated effects and straightforward controls.

The TAS1E features a solid spruce top paired with mahogany back and sides, giving it a warm, balanced acoustic tone as a foundation. Yamaha's TransAcoustic technology uses actuators mounted on the inner body surface that respond to string vibrations, transmitting reverb and chorus effects through the guitar body itself so the effects sound as though they are emanating naturally from within the instrument. Controls are compact and intuitive, keeping the amount of body wood removed to a minimum to preserve the natural acoustic response. The guitar runs on two AA batteries.

As the entry point in the second-generation TransAcoustic lineup, the TAS1E offers two reverb types and one chorus type — a streamlined set of effects optimised for practice and home use. Unlike the higher-tier models in the range, it does not include delay, Bluetooth audio, a built-in looper, or a rechargeable battery, keeping the feature set focused and the operation simple. The concert-style body makes it a comfortable choice for players who prefer a smaller body shape.
