The Cort Artisan Space 4 is a 4-string headless electric bass designed for players seeking superior balance, ergonomic comfort and professional-grade tone. Drawing on the legacy of the Cort Space series — which pioneered the headless bass concept with Steinberger Sound-licensed tuners — the Space 4 suits gigging bassists and studio players who want the playability advantages of a headless instrument without compromising on tonal versatility. The Space 4 features a soft maple body with a poplar burl 6T top, paired with a 7-piece roasted maple, walnut and purpleheart laminated neck in a C shape. The roasted maple fingerboard carries 24 frets plus a zero fret for improved tuning stability and long-term playability across different string gauges. Electronics are handled by Bartolini MK-1 pickups with an active 3-band EQ, offering a controls layout of 1 volume (push-pull), 1 blend and bass/mid/treble controls. The hardware is finished in black and the headless system uses specially designed head pieces and individual bridges developed for tuning and playing stability. Neck adjustments are made easily via a spoke-nut two-way adjustable truss rod, requiring no wrench or screwdriver.

The 34-inch scale length and 15.75-inch fingerboard radius suit a wide range of playing styles, and the medium-jumbo nickel silver frets provide a comfortable feel. String spacing at the bridge is 19mm and the nut width at the zero fret is 40mm. The instrument ships with D'Addario EXL165 strings (.045 .065 .085 .105) and the matte open-pore body finish gives it a natural, tactile feel.
