The IK Multimedia iRig Pro I/O is an ultra-compact professional audio and MIDI interface designed for musicians who need studio-quality recording capability on the go. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, Android devices, Mac and PC, it suits a wide range of players — from guitarists and bassists to vocalists and keyboard players — who want a portable, all-in-one solution for mobile recording and performance.

At its core, the iRig Pro I/O features 24-bit/96kHz A/D and D/A converters for high-definition audio quality. It includes a Neutrik combo XLR/1/4" input with switchable 48V phantom power for condenser microphones, a calibrated oversize gain control knob for precise input level setting, and a 1/4" Hi-Z input suitable for both passive and active pickup configurations. A 1/8" stereo headphone output with preamp and volume control enables real-time monitoring, making it compatible with current iPhone and iPad models. MIDI In and MIDI Out (thru) jacks are both included, along with two standard 5-pin MIDI to 2.5mm cables. The unit supports multiple power options: USB bus power when connected to a Mac or PC, two AA batteries for standalone mobile use, or the optional iRig PSU 3A DC power supply, which simultaneously charges a connected iPhone or iPad. A Lightning cable, USB cable, and Velcro mic stand strip are included in the box. The iRig Pro I/O ships with AmpliTube 5 SE and TONEX SE for Mac/PC, and a custom ASIO driver is provided for optimised performance on Windows machines.

The iRig Pro I/O is designed to be plug-and-play with no complicated setup required. Its compact form factor fits in a laptop bag, gig bag or pocket, making it practical for studio, stage and travel use alike. The marked gain knob allows for easy recall of input settings between sessions, and the inclusion of both MIDI In and MIDI Out jacks provides flexibility for controlling or integrating outboard keyboards, sound modules and control surfaces through a single interface.
