IK Multimedia TONEX Cab Powered FRFR Guitar Cabinet

The IK Multimedia TONEX Cab is a compact, full-range flat-response (FRFR) powered guitar cabinet designed to deliver authentic amp-in-the-room tone and feel for modern digital rigs. It is suited to guitarists using amp modellers, capture systems, or pedal-based rigs who want a dedicated stage solution that goes beyond repurposed wedges or PA speakers. With its custom Celestion 12" speaker, Lavoce 1" compression driver, and purpose-built DSP algorithms, the TONEX Cab is engineered specifically to reproduce the nuance and dynamics of Tone Models and amp captures at live volumes.

The cabinet delivers 350 W RMS / 700 W Peak via a Class-D power amplifier and reaches a maximum SPL of 132 dB. Its exclusive AMP TONE control adjusts mid-frequency characteristics and high-frequency dispersion to replicate the feel of a real guitar amp on stage. A programmable 3-band EQ and an onboard IR loader with 8 preset memory slots allow players to tailor and store their tone configurations. Connectivity includes an XLR/1/4" combo input for instrument signal, an XLR/1/4" AUX input for monitoring or backing tracks, and a balanced XLR output switchable between pre- and post-processing for FOH sends or cab linking. Full MIDI I/O is included for integration into complex rigs, and USB allows IR loading, preset management, and firmware updates. The cabinet ships with 50 premium studio-grade cabinet IRs, TONEX SE software, AmpliTube 5 SE, and the dedicated TONEX Cab software application.

Despite housing a 12" driver complement, the TONEX Cab is noted as the most compact powered 12" cabinet in its class, weighing 12.7 kg (28 lbs). The enclosure is constructed from wood with an Italian-designed finish, and features integrated tilt-back legs for angling the cab on stage. The grill cloth is user-swappable for customisation. Multiple units can be linked via the XLR output for stereo, wet/dry, or stacked configurations. An optional protective cover is available separately.
