Taylor Next Generation 412ce - Spruce/Rosewood

The Taylor 412ce Next Generation is a Grand Concert acoustic-electric guitar built for players who want the rich, harmonically complex character of solid Indian rosewood and Sitka spruce in a comfortable, compact body. With its Venetian cutaway and shorter 24-7/8" scale length, the 412ce suits fingerstyle players, singer-songwriters, and recording musicians who value note clarity, articulate response, and an ergonomic feel. Manufactured in the USA, it sits within Taylor's 400 Series and represents a meaningful evolution of one of the brand's most enduring body styles.

The Next Generation 412ce introduces three performance-enhancing upgrades to the Grand Concert platform. Taylor's scalloped V-Class bracing — strategically lightened at key points — improves volume, sustain, low-end warmth, and pitch accuracy compared to earlier bracing configurations. The long-tenon Action Control Neck joint adds sonic warmth and depth while enabling fast, tool-free string height adjustment directly through the soundhole, without the need for shims. Completing the package is the Claria Acoustic Pickup System, which provides a natural amplified voice with soundhole-mounted Volume, Tone, and Mid-Contour controls for intuitive tonal shaping on stage. The neo-tropical mahogany neck features a Standard Carve profile, West African Crelicam ebony is used for both the fretboard and bridge, and the guitar is strung from the factory with D'Addario XS Coated Phosphor Bronze Light strings.

Visually, the 412ce Next Generation presents a clean, refined aesthetic: black body binding with black/white top edge trim, a white single-ring rosette, Weathervane fretboard inlays in faux-pearl Italian acrylic, a firestripe pickguard, and a full-body gloss Natural finish with a satin neck. A black TUSQ nut and white Micarta saddle complete the hardware appointments, alongside Taylor nickel tuners with nickel buttons. The guitar ships with a Taylor Deluxe hardshell case.
