Taylor Next Generation 514ce - Cedar/Mahogany

The Taylor 514ce Next Generation is a 6-string acoustic-electric guitar from Taylor's 500 Series, designed for players who want a versatile, comfortable instrument suited to a wide range of playing styles. It pairs a Western Red Cedar top with Neo-Tropical Mahogany back and sides, producing a focused midrange response with warm, rounded character and notable soft-touch sensitivity — making it particularly well-suited to fingerstyle players and those with a lighter touch, while remaining capable across strumming and hybrid styles. The Venetian cutaway provides access to the upper frets, and Claria electronics make it ready for live performance straight out of the box.

The 514ce Next Generation features Taylor's scalloped V-Class bracing with relief rout, which enhances volume, sustain and open-string expressiveness. The Grand Auditorium body shape delivers a clear, balanced tone with broad cross-genre utility. A new Action Control Neck, built on a long-tenon joint, adds warmth and low-end depth while offering a patented system for effortless string height adjustment. The West African Crelicam Ebony fretboard and bridge, Faux Pearl Meridian fretboard inlays, green abalone single-ring rosette, faux-tortoiseshell pickguard and natural full-body gloss finish give the guitar a polished, classic appearance.

The guitar ships with D'Addario XS Coated Phosphor Bronze Light (.012–.053) strings fitted, Taylor Nickel tuners with Nickel buttons, and a Brown Taylor Deluxe Hard Shell Case included at no additional charge. The nut width is 1-3/4" and the scale length is 25-1/2", offering a comfortable, familiar feel for players transitioning from other full-size acoustic guitars. Electronics are handled by The Claria Acoustic Pickup System, designed for clear, reliable plugged-in tone in any live application.
