Yamaha Arius YDP-146 Cabinet Digital Piano with Bench - Rosewood

The Yamaha YDP-146R is a cabinet-style digital piano finished in rosewood, designed for beginners and those returning to playing after a break. It combines an authentic piano touch and sound with a compact, traditional upright design that suits home environments including apartments and living rooms. The instrument includes a matching bench and is well suited to everyday practice and recreational playing.

The YDP-146R features an 88-key Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) keyboard with matte black keytops, providing a heavier feel in the lower register that gradually lightens toward the treble — closely mimicking the response of an acoustic piano. Sound is generated from a Voice sampled from the Yamaha CFX flagship concert grand piano, with Virtual Resonance Modeling Lite (VRM Lite) simulating the complex string resonance of a grand piano. Ten Voices in total are available, including electric piano, pipe organ, vibraphone, and strings. The instrument is fitted with three pedals — damper (with half-pedal support), soft, and sostenuto — and is powered by an 8W × 2 stereo amplifier driving 12cm speakers with diffuser grilles for clear, balanced sound projection. Bluetooth connectivity enables audio streaming, integration with learning apps, and control via the free Smart Pianist app. A headphone output with Stereophonic Optimizer is also included for quiet practice.

The YDP-146R comes with 353 preset songs — including 50 Classical Masterpieces and 303 exercises from Beyer, Burgmüller, Czerny, and Hanon method books — alongside a metronome and recording functions. The cabinet features gently rounded corners for safety and a refined aesthetic that integrates naturally into home interiors. The Smart Pianist app provides sheet music for all preset songs, practice support tools, and the ability to record and save performances directly to a connected device.
